Williamsport Police Clarify Viral Pedestrian-Stop Video Not Conducted by Department

The Williamsport Bureau of Police confirmed a cell phone video circulating on social media of a pedestrian stop did not involve their officers. The department stated the officer shown is part of the Lycoming County District Attorney’s Office Narcotics Enforcement Unit and asked that any questions or concerns be directed to that office. They urged the public to seek accurate information from the agency responsible for the investigation.
