Williamsport Police: Viral pedestrian-stop video not from our department

The Williamsport Bureau of Police said it is aware of a cell-phone video circulating on social media showing a pedestrian stop and clarified the stop was not conducted by their officers. The bureau stated the officer involved is part of the Lycoming County District Attorney’s Office Narcotics Enforcement Unit and asked that questions and concerns be directed to that office, urging the public to seek accurate information from the appropriate agency.
