Workshop: Mapmaking on the Web
Hands-on introductory ArcGIS Online (AGOL) workshop for Lafayette College community.
Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are powerful computer mapping applications that have become increasingly accessible to beginners. The College subscribes to ArcGIS Online (AGOL), a web-based GIS, which is available to all with Lafayette credentials. Because it is so user-friendly, one short introductory workshop can get users started and making their own maps. Join Librarian John Clark for a hands-on introduction to AGOL. Bring your own laptops, and dive right into learning the basics and making your own maps. A limited number of laptops will also be available for use in the workshop. This introductory workshop will be followed by second AGOL workshop a week later that will introduce beginners to a bit more advanced GIS functionality. 2-3 p.m. Fri., Sept. 4 • Skillman Library, Room 003 • MORE
