YCRPD to Join Statewide Aggressive-Driving Enforcement Wave July 6–Aug 16, 2026
State and local agencies will conduct targeted traffic enforcement to curb aggressive driving and reduce crashes statewide.
York County Regional Police will join the Pennsylvania State Police and about 300 municipal agencies for a targeted aggressive-driving enforcement wave from July 6 through August 16, 2026. Officers will focus on heavy truck violations, pedestrian safety, red-light running, speeding and tailgating; any aggressive driver stopped will receive a ticket. The effort is part of Pennsylvania’s Highway Safety Program and is funded by PennDOT using federal NHTSA funds (see PennDOT.pa.gov/Safety).
