York County Regional Police to Join Statewide Aggressive‑Driving Enforcement, July 6–Aug 16, 2026
Targeted enforcement aims to reduce crashes, injuries and deaths by ticketing aggressive and unsafe driving behaviors.
York County Regional Police will join the Pennsylvania State Police and about 300 municipal agencies for a targeted aggressive‑driving enforcement wave from July 6 through August 16, 2026. Officers will ticket drivers for heavy‑truck violations, pedestrian‑safety infractions, red‑light running, speeding, tailgating and other unsafe behaviors. The initiative is part of Pennsylvania’s Highway Safety Program and is funded by PennDOT using federal NHTSA funds.
