17-year-old arrested in DeLand double homicide
17-year-old arrested in connection with July 29 double homicide in DeLand after surveillance and search-warrant evidence linked him to the scene.
DeLand police arrested 17-year-old Keyan Rundell in Manatee County and charged him with two counts of second-degree murder in the July 29 killings of Dustin Rose, 19, and Samson Campbell, 18. Investigators identified Rundell from surveillance footage, recovered clothing, an e-bike and digital evidence via a search warrant, and tracked him to the West Coast with assistance from the FBI, U.S. Marshals and multiple sheriff’s offices. Authorities say the victims and suspect knew each other, an altercation preceded the killings, no motive has been established, and additional arrests remain possible as the investigation continues.
