The East Earl Township Police Department arrested 37-year-old Andrew Steven Fowler of Philadelphia on October 21, 2026, accusing him of burglary, escape and resisting arrest after officers say he entered a barn on the 1600 block of Union Grove Road without permission and was found inside with items from the barn. While in custody Fowler allegedly broke his handcuffs, escaped a secured location and fought with officers when they tried to re-detain him. He was arraigned by MDJ Torrey Landis, held on $100,000 bail unable to post, and committed to Lancaster County Prison; criminal charges are accusations and Fowler is presumed innocent.
