Austin Michael McKain charged after passenger allegedly grabbed steering wheel, causing Conoy Township crash
SRPD says passenger Austin Michael McKain, 20, grabbed the steering wheel during a Sept. 26, 2026 crash on Risser Road, causing the vehicle to strike a utility pole; he faces related charges.
On September 26, 2026, at approximately 0100 hours, Susquehanna Regional Police Department officers responded to a vehicle accident in the 100 block of Risser Road in Conoy Township. During the investigation, officers determined that passenger AUSTIN MICHAEL MCKAIN, 20, caused the vehicle to collide with a utility pole by grabbing the steering wheel; he is charged with related offenses. MCKAIN is described as Male, White, 42' 7" 130 lbs, Hazel Brown; all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
