Castle Shannon Road Work Update — Week of Nov. 2, 2026
Lane reductions, detours and overnight concrete work in Castle Shannon this week; expect delays and follow posted directions.
The Castle Shannon Police Department warns of multiple road work projects the week of Nov. 2, 2026. Columbia Gas contractors will complete tie‑ins and gas line work on Killarney Road (8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m., Mon–Wed) with the road reduced to one lane and eastbound traffic detoured; PAWC contractors will work on the large main at Spring Street and Library Road (7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Mon–Wed), closing Janet, Mathilda, Steiger and Spring Streets; and Columbia Gas crews will perform overnight concrete pad replacement on Castle Shannon Blvd from Shop n' Save to Myrtle Ave (6:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m., Mon–Wed). Flaggers and police officers will direct traffic — motorists should plan for delays and may contact the Castle Shannon Police Department with questions.
