Chloey E. Decicco arrested after vehicle enters Esopus Creek at Saugerties Beach

On July 31, 2026 at about 2:50 a.m., the Saugerties Police Department arrested 21-year-old Chloey E. Decicco of Rosendale after her vehicle failed to negotiate South Partition Street and drove down the boat ramp at the Village of Saugerties Beach into the Esopus Creek. Decicco was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (VTL 1192.3), Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC ≥ .08 (VTL 1192.2) and several traffic infractions; she was processed and released on Uniform Traffic Tickets to appear in Village of Saugerties Justice Court. Diaz Ambulance, Saugerties Fire Department and the Ulster Hose Dive Team assisted the Saugerties Police at the scene.
