Chloey E. Decicco arrested after vehicle enters Esopus Creek in Saugerties
A 21-year-old was arrested after her vehicle drove down a Saugerties boat ramp and entered the Esopus Creek; she faces DWI charges and traffic infractions.
On July 31, 2026, at about 2:50 a.m., Saugerties police arrested 21-year-old Chloey E. Decicco of Rosendale after her vehicle failed to negotiate the roadway, drove onto South Partition Street and down the Village of Saugerties boat ramp into the Esopus Creek. She was charged with Driving While Intoxicated (VTL 1192.3), Driving While Intoxicated with a BAC ≥ .08 (VTL 1192.2), and several traffic infractions; she was processed and released on Uniform Traffic Tickets to appear in Village of Saugerties Justice Court. Diaz Ambulance, Saugerties Fire Department and the Ulster Hose Dive Team assisted the Saugerties Police Department at the scene.
