Customers sue to force retailer to pass along tariff refunds
A class-action lawsuit aims to force a retailer to give tariff-refund money to shoppers after companies said they would lower prices instead of issuing direct rebates.
We recently wrote that companies such as Walmart and Target that received massive refunds for the Trump administration’s tariffs will not be passing those along to customers. Instead they have pledged to lower prices. Walmart received $2.9 billion, while Target received $994 million.
