East Hempfield police incidents: Sept. 3–10, 2026

East Hempfield Township police reports for Sept. 3–10 detail multiple arrests and citations: Luis Martinez (46) was charged with simple assault stemming from an Aug. 16, 2026 incident at Mavis Discount Tire, and Giovanni I. Hogan (20) was charged with aggravated assault by vehicle for a crash on Aug. 15, 2025 that struck an electric-bicycle rider. Benjamin A. Gardner (45) was charged with strangulation, Joseph Manuel Cruz (39) and Peter F. Shehata (24) were charged with driving under the influence of controlled substances, and Joshua Lee Sensenig (41) was charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, two DUI (alcohol) counts and resisting arrest following a Sept. 9 traffic stop. Additional citations included public drunkenness, curfew violations for two juveniles and disorderly conduct for two students; all persons charged are presumed innocent.
