Multiple arrests and citations reported by East Hempfield Township Police, including DUI, aggravated assault by vehicle, strangulation and fleeing incidents.
East Hempfield Township Police reported charges from Sept. 3–10, 2026: Luis Martinez (46) was charged with Simple Assault for an Aug. 16 incident at Mavis Discount Tire; Giovanni I. Hogan (20) was charged with Aggravated Assault by Vehicle, Recklessly Endangering Another Person and multiple traffic violations after an Aug. 15, 2025 crash that struck an electric bicycle rider; and Benjamin A. Gardner (45) was charged with Strangulation following a domestic incident on Sept. 4. Other reported charges include Joseph Manuel Cruz (39) and Peter F. Shehata (24) for Driving Under the Influence of a controlled substance, Kyle G. Meredith (45) cited for Public Drunkenness, curfew and disorderly conduct citations for juveniles, and Joshua Lee Sensenig (41) arrested for Fleeing or Attempting to Elude Officer with related DUI and resisting arrest charges. All persons charged with an offense are presumed innocent.
