East Petersburg man charged after two gold bars stolen, one sold for $3,400
Northern Lancaster County police say a 47-year-old East Petersburg man stole two gold bars on Aug. 11 and sold one for $3,400; a felony theft charge was filed.
On Aug. 11, 2026, Northern Lancaster County Regional Police responded to a reported theft in the 2300 block of Valley Road in East Petersburg Borough. Authorities allege Ryan Charles Jarvis, 47, stole two gold bars and later sold one for $3,400; officers filed one count of theft by unlawful taking (18-3921(A), F3) before MDJ Chudzik. Jarvis is described as a white male, 5'11", 185 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes.
