Police responded Aug. 7, 2026, to a report that a suspect had threatened a victim with a knife; investigators identified Gary A. Phillips, 73, as the suspect. After an arrest warrant was requested, Phillips turned himself in on Aug. 13; he faces one count of terroristic threats (2706 A1) and four additional charges — possession of an instrument of crime (907 A), simple assault (2701 A3), recklessly endangering another person (2705) and harassment (2709 A1) — with the matter recorded at Lower Moreland Township Police Department. All persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
