Genesee County press releases: multiple arrests reported Sept. 8–16, 2026
Police reported arrests for felony DWI, failure to register as a sex offender, drug possession, criminal contempt and criminal mischief across Batavia and Genesee County in mid-September 2026.
From Sept. 8–16, 2026, Batavia and Genesee County police reported multiple arrests: Nathan S Bowes (41) of Attica was arrested 9/12 for felony DWI following a traffic stop on East Main St. after a prior DWI within the last 10 years; Jared J Yoder (23) of Oswego (9/13) and Jagger J Owens (21) of Batavia (9/12) were also charged with DWI, issued traffic tickets and released. Other arrests included Timothy A Peck (42) of Batavia for failure to register as a level 1 sex offender (allegedly failing to register an email address); Louis S Szabo (26) of Batavia on a warrant for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th (arraigned in CAP Court); Craig L Schrutt (73) of East Amherst for Criminal Contempt 2nd (alleged order-of-protection violations); Tyler D Price (34) of Batavia for Criminal Mischief 4th (allegedly damaging another’s vehicle; she was taken to Genesee County Jail for CAP Court arraignment); and Aiyana E Masterson (21) of Hemlock and David M Hawk (41) of Batavia (9/8) for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th after a traffic stop on South Main St., each issued appearance tickets and released.
