Hatboro Police Warn of Fake 'Sgt. Gilbert' Jury-Duty Scam
Hatboro Police warn residents about scam calls from someone claiming to be "Sgt. Gilbert" who demands payment for missed jury duty — the department says this is fraudulent.
The Hatboro Police Department says callers impersonating "Sgt. Gilbert" are contacting people, claiming they missed jury duty and demanding payment to avoid arrest. The department has no officer by that name and will never call to demand payment; residents should hang up, not share personal or financial information, and contact Hatboro Police directly to report the call.
