City moves Trick-or-Treat to Oct. 31, 4–6 p.m. for daylight safety; police will increase patrols.
On Oct. 29, 2026, Chief Mark F. Britton announced that, after consultation with the city manager, Trick-or-Treat has been rescheduled from Friday, Oct. 30 (6:00–9:00 p.m.) to Saturday, Oct. 31 (4:00–6:00 p.m.) following a recent criminal incident. The change is intended to keep festivities in daylight or early evening when visibility is better; officers will patrol the coverage area to provide a reassuring presence and assist with concerns.
