Kennett Square man arrested after alleged assault on woman
A 43-year-old Kennett Square man was arrested after an alleged assault in the 700 block of Meredith Street early Aug. 2, 2026.
Heriberto Perea-Gayosso, 43, of Kennett Square, was taken into custody after police say he struck a female multiple times in the head and pushed and scratched a man who intervened. The incident occurred on Aug. 2, 2026, at about 12:51 a.m. in the 700 block of Meredith Street; Perea-Gayosso was transported to central booking at Chester County Prison and charged in District Court 15-3-04. Charged counts include two simple assault counts (18 §2701(a)(1) and (a)(3)), harassment (18 §2709(a)(1)) and disorderly conduct (18 §5503(a)(1)); Judge Iacocca is listed with a $0 bond.
