Lancaster man arrested on strangulation, assault and harassment charges
Police say the victim was pushed against a door and choked, leaving bruising and scratch marks; the suspect was booked into Lancaster County Prison pending arraignment.
On Aug. 22, 2026 at 9:29 p.m., Lancaster Township Police responded to the 600 block of Wyncroft Lane and found a victim with substantial bruising, redness and scratch marks to the neck. Investigators determined Randy Bowersox, 64, pushed the victim against a door and choked her; he was taken into custody and transported to Lancaster County Prison. Bowersox faces one count of strangulation (18 § 2718A1 F2), one count of simple assault (18 § 2701A1 M2) and one count of harassment (18 § 2709A1 S); bail has not yet been set and a preliminary hearing is scheduled before the Hon. Mary Mongiovi Sponaugle.
