Police say Jeffrey Nichols, 46, leased three vehicles from a Lower Burrell business in 2021 and stopped making payments in July 2025. The business recovered two of five leased vehicles via a recovery service, while Nichols reportedly remained in possession of two tri-axle dump trucks and a Chevrolet pickup; Reading police recovered the pickup from a parking garage in mid‑July. Nichols faces two counts — theft of leased property and receiving stolen property — and an eviction notice was posted at his listed Berks County address.
