Lower Swatara Township Police Department will participate with the Pennsylvania State Police and about 300 municipal agencies in a targeted aggressive-driving enforcement wave from October 19 through November 8, 2026. The campaign will focus on school bus violations, the Move Over Law, tailgating, speeding and other unsafe behaviors, using traffic enforcement zones, saturation patrols, speed enforcement, work zone enforcement and multi-jurisdictional details; any aggressive driver stopped will be ticketed. In 2025 there were 6,812 aggressive-driving crashes resulting in 119 fatalities and 437 suspected serious injuries; drivers encountering aggressive motorists are advised to get out of the way, avoid engagement and call police from a safe location.
