On Oct. 2, 2026, Hazleton officers responded to the 1500 block of East Broad Street for a report of a male violating an active Protection From Abuse order. Veet faces three counts of false imprisonment and one count of violating a PFA order, has prior assault charges involving the same victim, was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Antolick with bail denied, and the Hazleton City Police were assisted by Jim Throup Police Department; all charges are allegations and he is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
