On August 13, 2026, at about 2:06 a.m., Northern Lancaster County Regional Police stopped a vehicle in the 5200 block of Main Street in East Petersburg Borough and identified the driver as 20-year-old Jose Luis Calichs Jr. of Lititz. Officers determined Calichs was required by licensing restrictions to have an ignition interlock installed but his vehicle lacked the device; he was charged with operating without an ignition interlock (75-3808 (A1)) and the charges were filed before MDJ Chudzik.
