Mechanicsburg resident reports identity theft after receiving unsolicited Verizon bill

On July 3, 2026, at approximately 5:48 p.m., a resident in the 200 block of East Locust Street contacted the Mechanicsburg Police Department after receiving a Verizon bill in their name. The victim said they do not have Verizon service and do not know how an account was opened using their information. Anyone with information related to the incident is asked to contact the police department.
