On Sept. 29, 2026 at about 4:23 a.m., Lycoming Regional Police responded to 406 Broad Street, Apt. 2 1/2 in the Borough of Jersey Shore for a reported domestic disturbance. Officers say Michael K. Jarman, 44, argued with the victim over toothpaste and rent money, retrieved a loaded 9mm handgun, paced while breaking items and told the victim, "If you call the cops, I will put a bullet in your head before they get here," several times. Jarman consented to a search in which officers found the loaded 9mm hidden in a kitchen trash can, a methamphetamine pipe and a small amount of marijuana; he was arrested, arraigned by Magisterial District Judge Christian Frey on seven charges (including persons not to possess F1, possessing an instrument of a crime, terroristic threats and possession of drugs/paraphernalia) and committed to Lycoming County Prison after bail was denied.
