Multi-Agency Resource Center set for Lancaster County storm victims Aug. 26
One-day, one-stop center on Aug. 26 will connect storm-affected Lancaster County residents and businesses with government and volunteer resources.
A Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC) will open Wednesday, Aug. 26, from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Columbia Borough Fire Department (726 Manor St., Columbia) to assist residents and businesses affected by the Aug. 20 storms. County and state agencies — including PA Department of Human Services, PA Emergency Management Agency, and PA Insurance Department — plus local volunteer organizations will provide information on insurance, fraud prevention, benefits, and recovery resources. Those with storm damage are asked to report it via the online damage survey or in person at the MARC; anyone with unmet non-emergency needs can contact PA211 by dialing 2-1-1, texting 898-211, or using online chat at pa211.org.
