Oscar Castillo-Peralta, 54, of Pleasantville, N.J., was sentenced Tuesday to five to 10 years in state prison after traveling to Bensalem Township on Feb. 19, 2025, to meet someone he believed was a 13-year-old girl. He pleaded guilty in April to attempted involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors and related offenses after investigators say he began communicating with the purported juvenile on Jan. 30, exchanged nude photos and planned to pose as a door-to-door religious solicitor. Judge Stephen A. Corr ordered sex offender treatment while incarcerated; the case was investigated by Bensalem Township Police and prosecuted by First Assistant District Attorney Kristin McElroy.
