NJ man sentenced to 5–10 years after Bensalem child-sex sting
A Pleasantville man pleaded guilty after arranging online to meet who he believed was a 13-year-old and was arrested in a Bensalem Township sting.
Oscar Castillo-Peralta, 54, of Pleasantville, N.J., was sentenced Tuesday to five to 10 years in state prison after pleading guilty to attempted involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful contact with a minor, corruption of minors and related offenses. Castillo-Peralta began messaging who he believed was a 13-year-old on Jan. 30, 2025, sent nude photos, and traveled to a Bensalem Township residence on Feb. 19, 2025—arriving at 1:30 p.m. dressed as a religious solicitor—where police arrested him. Judge Stephen A. Corr ordered sex offender treatment while incarcerated; the case was investigated by Bensalem Township Police and prosecuted by First Assistant District Attorney Kristin McElroy.
