On Sept. 12, 2026, the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department (NLCRPD) recognized its four female officers — Detective Corporal Theresa Stauffer, Corporal Alexandria Hahn, Officer Victoria Walton and Officer Kathryn Matrisciano — who serve in investigative, leadership and patrol roles. The department highlighted each officer’s tenure and duties and noted the history of policewomen in the U.S., citing early pioneers Marie Owens (Chicago, 1891) and Alice Wells (Los Angeles, 1910).
