Pocono Township police seek UTV operator after vehicle fled from officers

On Oct. 19, 2026, a Pocono Township officer observed a UTV run a steady red light on Sullivan Trail near Route 715 and flee, prompting a pursuit through Jackson Township and onto Hypsie Gap Road. The UTV, identified as a dark-colored Polaris RZR pro with an aftermarket lift kit and carrying at least two passengers, was last seen exiting the Long Pond Conservation Easement/State Game Lands near Fall Creek Terrace and Overlook Terrace; the operator was described as a white male with dark brown hair.
