Red-light crash at South York & West Simpson in Mechanicsburg sends one to hospital
A vehicle failed to stop at a red light on West Simpson Street and struck a southbound car at the South York intersection; one driver was taken to a hospital for evaluation.
On October 10, 2026 at about 7:52 a.m., Mechanicsburg police responded to a crash at South York Street and West Simpson Street after a vehicle traveling eastbound on West Simpson failed to stop for a red light and struck a southbound car on South York. The driver of the struck vehicle was transported to the hospital for further evaluation; both vehicles were towed from the scene. Penn State Health Life Lion EMS assisted on scene and the incident (MBG-2026-10-0363) was later closed by the Mechanicsburg Police Department.
