Rolex eBay sale in Lower Makefield reported as escrow scam
Seller mailed a $7,000 Rolex after a buyer promised payment via an "eBay escrow" account; the seller later learned it was a scam.
Lower Makefield Township police say a complaint was filed Aug. 10, 2026 at 1:42 p.m. from the 600 block of Stony Hill Rd. after a resident posted a Rolex watch on eBay for $7,000. An interested buyer told the seller they would send funds to an eBay escrow account; after the seller mailed the watch they discovered the payment was fraudulent and the investigation is ongoing.
