Safety Reminder: Don't Flee from Law Enforcement
If an officer signals you to pull over, stop safely and cooperate — attempting to flee endangers everyone and can result in arrest, vehicle damage, and impoundment.
The Summit Police Department reminds drivers to pull over safely and cooperate when signaled by law enforcement. Officers may take measures to stop or slow vehicles that refuse to yield; fleeing can cause serious danger and lead to arrest, vehicle damage, and impoundment, often costing more than the original reason for the stop.
