Counseling Center offers 'Be There' training to help students recognize when peers are struggling and to guide caring, boundary-respecting conversations.
As the last month of the semester approaches, the Counseling Center would like to take a moment to remind the Lafayette community about how you can support both yourself and your fellow Leopards. Consider these step-by-step approaches for how to notice when friends may be struggling and how to assist them through thoughtful conversations that convey your care and concern while still respecting boundaries. For any student groups who would like to further develop their skills in this area, please consider requesting “Be There” training from the Counseling Center.
