Solar solicitors warned for soliciting without permit in Brookhaven

On Oct. 16, 2026, Brookhaven Borough police identified solicitors representing a solar panel company soliciting in the 4400 block of Chandler Drive without a permit. Officers issued verbal warnings since there were no prior contacts with the company or its employees and reminded residents to dial 911 if solicitors cannot display a valid permit upon request.
