On Aug. 15, 2026, Woodward Township police investigated a domestic-related assault along Cider Press Road in which 34-year-old Stephen Alan Conway allegedly assaulted a victim inside a vehicle and then fled the scene. He was located later that evening in Centre County with assistance from the Pennsylvania State Police, returned to Clinton County and lodged in the Clinton County Correctional Facility. A magistrate conducted a preliminary arraignment on Aug. 16, bail was set at $15,000, and Conway was committed to jail; charges include felony strangulation (2718(A)), misdemeanor simple assault (2701(A)(1)) and summary criminal mischief (3304(A)(5)).
