Stolen Virginia Toyota Crashes After Pursuit Near Blossburg
Williamsport police pursued a stolen black Toyota from Virginia that was linked to a carjacking; the vehicle crashed in a construction zone near Blossburg and the driver was taken into custody.
On August 15, 2026, Williamsport police, coordinated with the Pennsylvania State Police, pursued a black Toyota with Virginia plates that had been reported stolen and linked to a carjacking after it was tracked on I-180 near the Montoursville exit. The driver refused to stop and continued onto Route 15/I-99 before the vehicle crashed in a construction zone near Blossburg; EMS evaluated the driver, who was released into police custody. The Williamsport Bureau of Police will file charges and is coordinating with the Chesterfield Police Department in Virginia.
