Stolen Virginia Toyota crashes after Williamsport police pursuit
A black Toyota reported stolen in Virginia and tied to a carjacking crashed in a Blossburg construction zone after refusing to stop for Williamsport officers.
Lycoming County Communications told Williamsport police a black Toyota with Virginia plates, reported stolen and involved in a carjacking, was traveling west on I-180 toward Williamsport. Officers pursued after the driver refused to stop on Route 15/I-99; the vehicle crashed in a construction zone near Blossburg. EMS evaluated the driver, who was released into police custody; the Williamsport Bureau of Police will file charges and is coordinating with the Chesterfield, Virginia police department.
