The Pocono Township Police Department arrested Tia M. Myers on Monday, August 3, 2026, after she was apprehended in Luzerne County. Myers — listed in booking as 38 and identified in the investigation as a 35-year-old from Plains, PA — faces one count of theft by unlawful taking (M2) in connection with the Aug. 31, 2023 theft of several pieces of jewelry. Police say the jewelry was sold to a local gold buyer who supplied the seller’s identification; Myers was arraigned, a preliminary hearing was set, and officers are asking the public for any information on her whereabouts prior to the arrest.
