Lansdale Borough Police remind drivers that under 75 Pa.C.S. § 3345 they must stop at least 10 feet away from a school bus stopped with red lights flashing and the stop arm extended, and remain stopped until the lights cease, the stop arm is withdrawn, and children are safe. North Penn School District buses use BusPatrol cameras; police reviewed 7,530 potential violations from May 31, 2025 through June 1, 2026 and approved 5,743, with Lansdale reviewing 738 and approving 413. Approved violations carry a $300 civil penalty — the department urges drivers to slow down, pay attention, and stop so BusPatrol can be put out of business.
