Two charged after Greensburg infant suffers skull fracture, drug exposure
A 7-month-old was taken to UPMC Children's Hospital after testing positive for drugs and being found with a fractured skull; two adults face child endangerment and drug manufacturing charges.
Greensburg police say Danielle Kowalski, 25, and Steven Kopetsky, 32, were charged after a 7-month-old in their care was found crying on the floor in July and taken to UPMC Children's Hospital, where tests showed a fractured skull and positive results for cocaine and marijuana. Officers executed a search warrant at the College Avenue residence and seized marijuana and packaging materials; Kowalski and Kopetsky face endangering the welfare of children and drug manufacturing charges and are due in court in mid-September. All charges are accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
