Unauthorized EBT transactions reported by Mechanicsburg resident
A Mechanicsburg resident found multiple unauthorized transactions on their EBT account traced to Maryland, even though they still had the physical card.
On August 11, 2026, at about 9:34 a.m., a resident in the 1st block of North Market Street contacted police after discovering their EBT card had been used without permission. The victim found numerous unauthorized transactions in Maryland despite still possessing the card; it is unknown how the card information was obtained. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Mechanicsburg Police Department (case MBG-2026-08-0437).
