Gerhard A. Benzenhoefer arrested in Saugerties on obstruction, assault and child endangerment charges
Benzenhoefer, 51, was arrested Oct. 24 and sent to Ulster County CAP Court in Kingston for arraignment.
On October 24, 2026, at approximately 2:40 p.m., the Saugerties Police Department arrested Gerhard A. Benzenhoefer, 51, of Saugerties. He was charged with the misdemeanors of Criminal Obstruction of Breathing (PL 121.11), Assault in the 3rd Degree (PL 120.00), and Endangering the Welfare of a Child (PL 260.10). Benzenhoefer was processed at the Saugerties Police Department and transported to Ulster County Centralized Arraignment Part (CAP) Court in Kingston for arraignment.
