Vianel Rodriguez-Martinez arrested for retail theft at Ephrata Walmart

Ephrata Police arrested Vianel Antonio Rodriguez-Martinez, 54, of West Palm Beach, Florida, on July 31, 2026, after loss prevention at Walmart reported a shoplifting in progress. Officers say video showed him trying to leave without paying for two speaker systems valued at $928; he fled on foot but was detained, arraigned by MDJ Landis and committed to Lancaster County Prison on $35,000 cash bail. He faces charges of Retail Theft (M1), Criminal Conspiracy–Retail Theft (M1) and Evading Arrest or Detention on Foot (M2) and is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
