Why my 30-year-old American beech still hasn’t flowered
A beech tree transplanted more than 30 years ago still hasn’t flowered; experts say American beech often take 30 to 40 years to mature and produce flowers or fruit.
The weather has been so warm recently that Japanese honeysuckle shrubs are still producing yellow and white flowers. But, generally, it’s obvious that it’s November. The leaves on hillside trees are finally changing color although, in my opinion, not as attractively as they do some years.
