Williamsport woman charged in $360 theft by deception
Authorities allege a Williamsport woman kept $360 sent by a 65-year-old victim for a relative’s U-Haul storage payments instead of forwarding them.
The Woodward Township Police Department says 32-year-old Jessica Lynne Erb of Williamsport accepted $360 via Western Union from a 65-year-old Woodward Township resident between May and August 2026 to pay for a relative’s storage unit at a U‑Haul facility, then failed to make four payments and kept the money. On Sept. 17, 2026, Erb was charged with 3922(A)(1) Theft by Deception (M1) and 3927(A) Theft by Failure to Make Required Disposition of Funds Received (M1). She will be sent a summons to appear in Clinton County Central Court.
