York County Regional Police to Join Aggressive-Driving Enforcement Wave Oct. 26–Nov. 15, 2026
York County Regional Police will join a statewide enforcement wave Oct. 26–Nov. 15, 2026, targeting speeding, tailgating, school bus violations and other aggressive behaviors.
York County Regional Police will join the Pennsylvania State Police and about 300 municipal agencies for targeted aggressive-driving enforcement from October 26 through November 15, 2026. Officers will focus on school bus violations, the Move Over Law, tailgating and speeding, citing any aggressive drivers stopped; the campaign uses enforcement zones, saturation patrols and multi-jurisdictional details and is funded by PennDOT using NHTSA federal funds. In 2025 there were 6,812 aggressive-driving crashes in Pennsylvania, with 119 fatalities and 437 suspected serious injuries; motorists are advised to get out of the way, avoid engagement, and call police from a safe location if they encounter an aggressive driver.
