2026 Beard for Brothers Campaign Begins
Police, firefighters, EMS and dispatchers across Lancaster County will grow facial hair through November to raise cancer awareness in the 12th annual campaign.
The 2026 Beard for Brothers campaign has officially begun, with police officers and other first responders participating in a No-Shave November effort to raise awareness for cancer. Chiefs of Police have waived departmental facial hair policies for the 12th year, allowing officers to grow beards through November. Volunteer firefighters, EMS personnel and dispatchers from across Lancaster County are joining the campaign; Strasburg Borough Police Department notes, "In this family no one fights alone."
